In the first semester of AP European History, students will look back to the 1300s and onward to study the history of economic, cultural, social, and political developments. The second semester will introduce students to the birth of modern and political thought.

This AP study of European history since 1300 introduces students to economic, cultural, social and political developments. These developments played a fundamental role in shaping the world in which they live.

Second Semester of online AP European History will introduce students to the birth of modern political thought, the Great Depression, and World War II. They will study the Cold War, the collapse of communism, and wrap up with the dawn of the 21st Century. Students will complete a project at the end of each unit, with the final project being a critical analysis.

Module 1: Late Middle Ages, Renaissance, Reformation, Age of Religious Wars
Module 2: Consolidation of Thought, Culture, Society, and Economy 16 – 18th Century
Module 3: The Age of Enlightenment, the French Revolution, Napoleon, and Romanticism
Module 4: Conservative Order and Challenges of Reform, Economic Advance and Social Unrest, Age of Nation States
Module 5: European Supremacy, Birth of Modern Political Thought, and the Great War
Module 6: The 1920s, The Great Depression, and World War II
Module 7: Cold War to the Collapse of Communism
Module 8: Dawn of the 21st Century and AP Exam Review
