INSTRUCTION
Accelerate Online Academy selects and trains instructors carefully. All of our instructors meet the Department of Education’s highly qualified requirements, meaning they:
- Have a bachelor’s degree
- Have a full state certification or licensure
- And have proven that they know each subject they teach
Instructors
An instructor will be assigned to you for each course you take. If you are an elementary student (k-5), you will likely have the same teacher for math, science, social studies, and language arts, but have additional teachers for your electives like P.E. and art. For secondary students (6-12), you will have a different teacher for each course you take.
Assessments
Your instructor will grade the assessments that the computer cannot, which includes between 30%-50% of the course assessments. Teachers will provide individualized feedback on your performance on these assessments as well as suggestions for future success. Sample Text
Synchronous Learning Sessions
Along with the online learning materials you will receive upon your purchase of a course/courses, your assigned teacher will also engage in synchronous learning sessions. Synchronous learning sessions are real-time meetings with the teacher to cover specific content. Teachers are also available for one-on-one tutoring.
Between the asynchronous and synchronous feedback and interaction, students are connecting with their instructor daily.
